On 23rd and 24th April 2023, Barcelona became the epicentre of innovation and global commerce with the celebration of this Congress at the Hotel Arts. Technical production and customized staging were key elements to the success of the event, and we at Octo Event Productions are delighted to have played our part in delivering a complex and impressive set-up that captivated participants from the very first moment.
The latest technical set-up: The heart of the audio-visual experience at the World Retail Congress was the imposing 2.6 Gloshine LED screen from the MV series. With monumental dimensions of 28 metres long by 2.5 metres high, this screen delivered crisp images and vibrant colours, providing attendees with an unparalleled visual experience. We at Octo Event Productions are proud to have been able to guarantee our clients a precise and efficient set-up of this cutting-edge technology and customised and complex scenography for the different areas of the hotel, raising the quality of the event to new heights.
State-of-the-art video control: Smooth and efficient management of the LED display was accomplished with Novastar’s H5 electronics as well as having managers for the different video signals with the Aquilon RS2 Video Mixer. This industry leading device allowed for a seamless transition between presentations, videos and visual content, creating an immersive experience for all present. At Octo Event Productions we have the technology and technical staff to make this type of corporate events run smoothly.
Unparalleled Sound Quality: The sound design for the congress was carried out with top level equipment with PA and monitoring systems with D&B and Yamaha and Midas MR32 in the control of the different areas of the event, guaranteeing exceptional acoustic quality in all areas.
Custom Stage: Custom staging was a distinctive element of the event, and Octo Event Productions dazzled with a custom-designed stage finished in gloss black melamine and inlaid with RGB DMX-controlled LED strips on each of the access steps. The stage not only served as a focal point for presentations and speeches, but also added a touch of elegance and modernity to the set. The inclusion of LED strips along the stage created an immersive atmosphere that captured the essence of this Corporate Event.
Moving Lighting and Varied Environments: Moving lighting was another key element in creating captivating environments. At Octo Event Productions we used a variety of lighting techniques, configurations and designs with different equipment to suit the different areas of the event. From the plenary sessions to the exhibition areas, the lighting was fine-tuned to enhance the visual experience and create unique atmospheres through Elation and ECL Prolights LED fixtures in the different rooms where the event took place.
Diversity of Areas: The World Retail Congress encompassed different area, from the plenary hall to the breakout rooms and the EXPO area with different stands produced in black and white melamine with light boxes and graphic printing to highlight the different brands at the exhibition. Octo Event Productions coordinated the logistics and technical production of more than 60 people in the event set-up to ensure that each area fulfilled its specific purpose, creating a harmonious flow between the different spaces and maximising attendee participation.
